Today was her turn to waste her money.

Over the phone, we talk of movie scenes,

women alone buying hats.

Over the phone it's always different.

I wish I could’ve been there, I say, to pick out your Dalmatian hat.

We’d have said the same things, or maybe less, she says.

We’d have said more than we are right now.
